The teachers in the Christian Education Department at New Horizon Fellowship are passionate about their relationship with Jesus! They have a deep love for the Word of God which is the foundation for all that is taught at New Horizon Fellowship. The Christian Education Team desires to share the Word of God and to empower others through the knowledge of what Jesus has done and who we are because of Him. Toddlers to seniors are encouraged to plunge deeply in the supernatural love of the Savior! What a mighty God we serve!
Our infant nursery is for children from birth to eighteen months.
The infant nursery is conveniently located at the rear of the sanctuary.
For new parents who might be uneasy about leaving their children the
nursery is equipped with a window which allows you to peek in and see
how your little one is being cared for with love! Additionally,
infants as well as children of all ages are always welcome in the
worship services at New Horizon Fellowship. Our Pastor often comments
on the blessing of the presence of children in attendance in worship
services! The infant nursery is available on Wednesdays and Sundays.
On Sunday mornings at 10 a.m. the children participate in worship with
their church family in the sanctuary and are dismissed for their class
in the church basement during the adult teaching time. Our toddler
class is for children from eighteen months to age three. While the
toddler class is located in the church basement the adults worshiping
in the sanctuary are periodically blessed by some joyous drums and
other instruments making their way up through the rafters for worship
and fun during the toddler class! Parents may pick their children up
in their classroom following Sunday Worship.
Children aged 3-5 and those currently in kindergarten meet in the
church basement on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. While we
offer plenty of time for learning through play, we are often amazed by
the serious side of our little ones when it comes to praying for
others and the way they pay attention to the Bible stories they are
taught during their class time! We do not take for granted the
importance of teaching these little ones and building a solid
foundation in Jesus!
Wednesday evenings the children sign in at the registration
the church basement and gather in the kitchen for board games with
their friends. At 7 p.m. the children sing a few songs with the
Transformation Station Kid’s Church and then head to their classroom
with their teacher. Parents may pick their children up in their
classroom in the basement at 8 p.m.
Sunday mornings the children participate in worship with their church
family in the sanctuary and are dismissed for their class during the
adult teaching time. Parents may pick their children up in their
classroom in the basement following the morning service.
