September Prayer Focus 2023

Pastor Mann's September Prayer Focus (August 31, 2023)
Matthew 5:13-16 (KJV) “Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”
FATHER, You created us in Your image and after Your likeness so that we could have full and free fellowship with, in, and through You! You love us with an everlasting love and are faithful to provide all our needs from an inexhaustible supply by Christ Jesus!
FATHER, You created us to Know, Love, and Serve You. Because we sinned and fell short of the Glory You placed in us, You sent Your Only Begotten Son to pay the penalty for our sins, and through faith in His shed Blood at Calvary You present us with the Gift of Eternal Life.
In the New Birth, You restore us to the position of sons and daughters of God. In Christ Jesus, we have received everything that pertains to life and godliness. Grant that we will walk worthy of being called by Your Name. As sons and daughters of the Living God, we pray that we will manifest the Grace and Life of Jesus Christ, our Elder Brother and Savior, in all aspects of our lives.
As “salt,” may we season our environment with the Fruit of the Spirit so that the Character of Christ may be manifested. As “salt” may we season the world around us so that lost humanity will “Taste and See that the Lord is Good!” Holy Spirit, we pray that You place Your hedge around us so that we will not absorb the savor of the world!
As “light,” may we evidence the Way to Eternal Life with the Gifts of the Spirit so that the Charisma of Christ may be manifested. As “light” may we brighten the days of those darkened by doubt and despair, and may we expel the darkness of the enemy so that lost humanity will say, “The Lord is my Light, and my Salvation.” Holy Spirit, we pray that You continue to ignite the altars of our hearts with the fire of Your Holiness.
FATHER, we seek Your Face to move upon the hearts of mothers to choose life for their unborn children. We pray for the Peace of Jerusalem, an enriched harvest of souls, and an increase of laborers in Your Vineyard. We ask this in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen.
