Hosea 10:12 (KJV) “Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.”

LORD, we look to You as our Provider and Merciful Benefactor Who provides all that we need to enjoy a bountiful life.  We are quick to call upon You when we are in need; however, we are very slow in praising You and giving You honor when we are thriving in the times of plenty.

LORD, we pray that You will quicken us to the reality of the spiritual “Cause and Effect” that You have placed within each one of us because You created us in Your Image with the intention that we would present Your Likeness.

LORD, while You send the rain upon the just and the unjust, in that You are The Merciful God, it is NOT in Your Heart to reward evil and punish good.  As we become more mature in our walk with You, we become more aware that the condition of our hearts, and the thoughts of our minds are a direct result of the “sowing” we have been planting in ourselves – for, our “harvest” reveals what we have sown.

LORD, in this Christmas Season, where the “Spirit of Getting” seems to overwhelm the “Spirit of Giving,” grant that we will become more aware of what we are “sowing” into our spirits so that what we “give” will reflect Your Glory.  Teach us that it is better to be “good to ourselves,” in that we sow to ourselves in Your Righteous Word and Ways, so that others may enjoy the Fruit of the Spirit.  Remind us, LORD, that we can only give what we possess.

LORD, we pray that You will move upon all hearts to choose life, rather than the murdering of infants.  We pray that You will grant an increase in the harvest of souls, laborers in Your Vineyard, and more disciples to represent You.  We pray for revival in our nation and the Peace of Jerusalem. Amen!
