It has been said that trials do not shape our character – they show our character. No doubt, this “Coronavirus Pandemic” crisis will produce the evidence of what our hearts contain, where our hearts are concentrated, and in whom our hearts have confidence. I believe that the LORD has allowed, or perhaps orchestrated, this crisis to search our hearts and reveal to each of us how we appear before Him.
David stated in Whom he trusted in times of trouble…
Psalm 46:1 (KJV) “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
It is important to understand that David stated that God IS our refuge and strength. That is a statement that God is always our refuge and strength! However, David stated that God manifests His Presence IN our trials! Nebuchadnezzar, an unbelieving king, saw the Manifest Presence of God present with the three Hebrew children while they were in the fiery furnace. I pray each of us will be confident in the Promise of God’s Presence during this time!
I’ve also heard it said, “God whispers in peaceful times, but shouts in times of trouble.” I don’t know if that is true, but I know that He gave a command through David, “Be still and know that I am God!”
Brothers and Sisters, God IS holding you in the palm of His hand! He is concerned with what concerns you! He is showing, and will show, His Majesty and Mercy in this challenge. Be still, be trusting, be confident, be at peace, and declare God’s Glory in the calm that God will give you as you call upon Him!
I love you and am praying for you!
