Isaiah 9:6 (KJV) “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”
FATHER, in this Christmas Season, we celebrate the Marvelous Majesty and Mystery of the Virgin Birth of Your Son, Jesus Christ of Nazareth! You sent Your Son as a Baby – perhaps with the desire that lost humanity would accept and love Your Son since He came as a Defenseless Infant; however, Your Son was rejected from the beginning. The fact that there was “no room in the inn,” manifested the reality that Your Son came into a world where there was “no room for Him,” AND You both were rejected!
FATHER, You sent Your Son as a “Child” for many reasons. We understand that it was Your intent that He would live a righteous life so that all who would call upon His Name would be recipients of the glorious “transfer” wherein Christ’s righteousness would be “traded” for their unrighteousness!
FATHER, You sent Your Son as a “Child” so that we would be reminded that it requires a “childlike” heart and hope to effectively walk and live as citizens of heaven. Considering this fact, FATHER, awaken a “childlike” spirit within each one of us.
· Empower us to love and trust as children do.
· Equip us to exemplify Your Mercy and Grace so that we will be quick to forgive and show compassion as children do.
· Embolden us to be quick to defend Your Name as children do their parents.
· Enable us to be like Jesus and present His Character through the Fruit of the Spirit.
· Enhance our love for You so that we remain “Childlike” all year long, while being released from any form of “Childishness.”
FATHER, we seek Your Face to transform hearts to eliminate the murder of infants in their mother’s wombs. We pray for the salvation of the Jews, the Peace of Jerusalem, an increased harvest of souls, and increased laborers in Your Vineyard. We ask this in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth! Amen!
