Psalm 90:1-2 (KJV) “Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations. Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.”
LORD, You are Immovable, Immutable, Immortal, and Immaculate! You are God Alone, and we take comfort in knowing that You do NOT “Know” of the existence of any other god, nor will you be diminished in Your Power and Position by the creation of man-made gods!
LORD, we only need to travel a short distance before we lay our eyes upon the beautiful “Great Smoky Mountains” that You placed in the regions of Tennessee and North Carolina. When we see these, and other mountain ranges, that You created, we are comforted knowing that You were God before they were created; AND, You will still be God long after they are destroyed at Your Command!
LORD, while everything is changing around us, including ourselves, we are comforted in the knowledge that NOTHING takes You by surprise, and NOTHING will remove You from Your Position as God – The “Architect of Creation” and The “Ancient of Days!”
· When evil seems to be triumphing – You are God!
· When terrorism seems to be triumphing – You are God!
· When the unborn are being aborted – You are God!
· When poverty is being promoted – You are God!
· When sexual perversion and abuse is rampant – You are God!
· When all is well – You are God!
LORD, You are God today! You will be God tomorrow! LORD, rise in each one of us so that we see each day as You see it – another opportunity to “Let Your Light Shine” amid a lost and dying world. Help us to “Redeem the time – knowing that the days are evil,” and “Today is the day of Salvation!” Remind us that “Our Salvation is nearer than when we began!”
LORD, we seek Your Face to transform hearts to eliminate the murder of infants in their mother’s wombs, for the salvation of the Jews, the Peace of Jerusalem, an increased harvest of souls, and increased laborers in Your Vineyard. We ask this in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth! Amen!
