October Prayer Focus 2024

FATHER, You loved me so much that You sent Your Only Begotten Son to live a righteous
life, die for my sins, and transfer His righteousness to my sinful, spiritual state so that I may be righteous in Your eyes! Praise Your Holy Name!

FATHER, You accepted me in the wretchedness of my sins, being clothed in the rags of self-
righteousness, selfishness, and self-centeredness. As such, I was altogether unlovely with the putrid scent of rottenness and decay. BUT, when You saved me, You gave me a “Robe of Righteousness” in exchange for my robe of sinfulness, AND you set my feet upon the Solid Rock of Your Word and the Foundation of Truth!

FATHER, I pray that Your Holy Spirit would quicken my spirit to “walk worthy of the vocation
to which You have called me,” and live up to the name – Child of the KING! In obedience to
Your call, I “put on” the priestly garments of mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and long-
suffering. Being clothed in the “Righteousness of Christ,” I shall be able to walk as Jesus
walked, talk as Jesus talked, and live as Jesus lived. Ultimately, “being like Jesus” will enable me to be more compassionate and forgiving.

FATHER, I thank You, and I pray that Your Holy Spirit will embolden me to be more
responsive rather than reactive when others hurt me. Because I am clothed in the “priestly
garments” You have provided, I shall represent You more faithfully, I shall be reminded to be
more forgiving, and I shall be more forgetful of the wrongs others have done to me. 

FATHER, we seek Your Face to move upon the hearts of mothers to choose life for their unborn children. We pray for the Peace of Jerusalem, an enriched harvest of souls, and an increase of laborers in Your Vineyard. We ask this in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen.
