November Prayer Focus 2024

1 Peter 2:13-17 (KJV) “Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well. For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men: As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God. Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.”

LORD, You were reviled by men and accused of being a blasphemer and a drunk.  You were unjustifiably held up as the supreme example of a rebel, when in fact, You were the Consummate Supporter of Authority and Justice!

LORD, as You faced Your “false accusers,” You maintained Your Holy Dignity by choosing to submit to the will of the Father in silence, rather than to rise in Your Own defense.  As You ascended the Hill of Golgotha, You embraced Your Sacrificial Destiny with Majestic Grace and Humility – knowing all-the-while that You were pleasing Your Father and exemplifying His Love to a lost and dying world!

LORD, in these times – in each day – grant that we will avail ourselves of the Father’s Wondrous Grace in the same manner as You!  We are not ashamed to be identified with You; and, we embrace Your warning that because of our being “identified” with You we would be reviled and falsely accused by those who hate and are willfully ignorant of Who You are. In this, send Your Holy Spirit upon each one of us to enable us to be willing to stand mute in our defense, while we know that BEING like Jesus is far more impactful than DOING like Jesus.

LORD, we know that as we submit to Your Will, and embrace Who You are, we can both BE like You and DO like You!  We pray that this would be so.

 
LORD, we pray that You will move upon all hearts to choose life, rather than the murdering of infants.  We pray that You will grant an increase in the harvest of souls, laborers in Your Vineyard, and more disciples to represent You.  We pray for revival in our nation and the Peace of Jerusalem. Amen!
