Pastor Mann’s December Prayer Focus
Acts 20:35 (KJV) “I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
LORD, You are the Greatest Giver! John 3:16 (KJV) “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
In the Christmas Season, where more emphasis will be placed on receiving gifts, help us to seek Your Heart and desire to be focused on “Giving” more than on “Receiving.”
Sweet, Holy Spirit, teach us to be more sensitive to the needs of others than to our own needs.
Teach us to be ready to give…
- Presents – make us more sensitive to the needs and wants of our family, friends, and fellowship so that we will seek more meaningful ways in which to be used by You to meet these needs and wants. In doing this, may there be a greater healing and bonding of unity in Your Body. With the giving of “Presents,” help us to make sure that we are always granting the gift of our “Presence!”
- Sympathy – make us more sensitive to the hurts, heartaches, and helplessness others are experiencing. Grant a revival of holiness in our hearts so that we will grant Mercy and Grace to everyone around us.
- Knowledge – make us more sensitive to how we share the truth of God’s Word, and our personal testimony with others. May we always speak with Grace, and may Your Mercy be evident in our actions.
- Love – make us more sensitive to how You love us. May we evidence and express Your love as we interact with others.
- Prayers – make us more sensitive to the quality of our prayers. Grant that we will pray with integrity – not just saying we will pray, but keeping our word by doing so. Grant a revival of faith so that we will pray in, and with faith. “Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done!”
LORD, we seek Your Face to transform hearts to eliminate the murder of infants in their mother’s wombs, for the salvation of the Jews, the Peace of Jerusalem, an increased harvest of souls, and increased laborers in Your Vineyard. We ask this in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth! Amen!
