February 2026 Prayer Focus

Matthew 23:37 (KJV) “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!”
 
LORD, we hear the sadness of Your heart as we read this Scripture!  It troubles our hearts to know that You would ever feel that You are an “Outsider” as You approach Your creation – especially Your “Chosen People!” Nonetheless, as You surveyed Jerusalem, the City that You chose wherein to establish Your Kingdom on earth through David – the man that was “after Your heart,” – You felt the utter rejection of all that is truly Holy, and You walked as the extreme “Stranger on Earth!”
 
LORD, forgive us for the times that we made You feel the same rejection and sadness that You did when You first uttered these words. Forgive us for how we conduct our daily traditions and tedious transactions with no thought of You! Forgive us for being unmindful of Your Principles, Precepts, and Peace as we endeavor to seek our own way.
 
LORD, grant that we will be more willing to run into Your arms and seek to be covered by Your Presence. Grant a revival of Your Holy Spirit to once again lead us into the “Secret Place” wherein we may abide in Your Holy Shadow. Grant that we will continually be aware that each of us are the “Temple” of the Holy Spirit, AND ALL of us are Your “City Set Upon a Hill” to present the Light of Your Glory.
 
LORD, look with favor upon Your people and grant peace in Jerusalem. Grant that Your “Spirit of Renewal” will touch the hearts of Your people so that Israel will turn to You and seek You as their Savior, Strength, Shield, and Source. We pray that the hearts of mothers will be renewed so they choose “Life” instead of “Death.”
 
LORD, we ask this in the Wonderful Name of Jesus! AMEN!
